Documentary to showcase Gohpur’s heritage

riali, Jan 31: The Gohpur Sub-Divisiol unit of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) will make a documentary to showcase the evergreen heritage, art and culture of Gohpur in front of the devotees on the occasion of the 86th session of Srimanta Shankerdev Sangha.  AASU leaders Dhruvajyoti Borah and Amlanjyoti Saikia told media persons that the sacrifices of martyrs Kaklata Baruah and Mukunda Kakati, the doul-devalays of the Ahom era, the temples, historical places, monuments, Bholaguri Tea Estate where Jyoti Prasad Agarwalla had screened the first Assamese feature film Joymati in a makeshift studio, and ethnic culture would be highlighted in the documentary.
