Dorbar rubbishes allegation by Nongrum

A REPORTER

Shillong, April 30:  The executive dorbar of Urmasi-U-Joh village has termed the allegations made by Pynnehskhem Nongrum, in the FIR filed at the Madanrting police station that the dorbar had threatened his father with dire consequences if he fails to vacate the house, as untrue. “The allegation made by Pynnehskhem Nongrum is untrue and has put the dorbar of Urmasi-U-Joh name in a very bad light. So we demand Pynnehskhem to apologize before the Dorbar within one week and we also urged the authority concerned to look into the matter and to omit this fabricated word use by Nongrum in the FIR just to tarnish the Dorbar’s image, ” headman of Urmasi-U-Joh village Phaston Wankhar told reporters in a press conference on Monday here.

He said all the EC did was that it asked the father of Pynnehskhem to evacuate the house based on the complaint lodged by Pynnehskhem’s mother D Nongrum as the house belongs to her.

“But the moment we learnt that that this EC decision meant to do good will come in direct conflict with the government law, the Dorbar had revoked its order but it had never threatened anyone with dire consequences as mentioned in the FIR by Pynnehskhem ,” he said, adding such false statement used by Pynnehskhem has put the Dorbar name in a very bad light.
