Dream of ‘New India’ Incomplete without Better Connectivity For ‘New North East’: Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Shillong: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned the dream of a “New India” by 2022. ‘The Dream of a ‘New India’ would be discerned without the perspective of ‘New North East’, this was stated by the Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh while addressing the terminate meeting of the 67th plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) on Tuesday in Shillong.

Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh tweeted that the dream of ‘New India’ will be realized with the vision of “New North East”. The road will go through a development and peaceful ‘New North East.’ He further wrote on the micro-blogging site that the North East needs better road connectivity and it has recently made some progress in this area. The Union Home Minister also emphasized on gaining momentum for the growth of agriculture sector and suggested the revival of the North Eastern Regional Agriculture Marketing Corporation Limited for marketing of agriculture produce.
