Drive against illicit liquor

Shillong, April 27: In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District, Shillong conducted raids in the restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of March, 2018, the Excise staff detected 23 cases with a seizure of 1731.050 litres of i/d liquor and 129.575 litres IMFL. In this connection, 18 persons were arrested under Excise Act. This has been stated in a press release.
