DyLume launches ''Amar Mati Amar Chad'' campaign
Guwahati, May 11: DyLume unveiled its first humanity service campaign titled, “A Roof for Our land (Amar Mati, Amar Chad)” in line with the objective of group’s social service wing SM Foundation. At the flag off ceremony held today at Khapara Veteriry College Ground, Assam Sahitya Sabha President Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bora launched the campaign in presence of Noni Borpujari, Bolin Bordoloi, Ravi Sankar Ravi and Rishi Baruah. SM Group’s entire top brass including CMD Sarat Kr. Jain, MD Sushil Kr. Jain, Group CEO Vikas Agarwal and several others were also present on this occasion.
Flagging off the ceremony, Dr. Bora said that a roof over head is a human right of every individual and we all share the responsibility to ensure this. In rural villages of Assam there are lakhs of families who are living in idequate homes. Some homes are roofless, some are made of poor paddy straw and some are badly damaged. This noble initiative of SM Foundation and DyLume is a laudable step towards serving the mankind and we all should make this initiative a mass movement.
“This initiative of ‘Amar Mati Amar Chad’ has full support and good wishes of Assam Sahitya Sabha”, Dr. Bora announced. Commenting on this occasion Sarat Kr. Jain, CMD, SM Group said that in first phase, DyLume will be providing a new roof and required basic infrastructure to 50 needy families spread across Lower & Upper Assam.
“In exceptiol cases, company will provide a complete new house to deserving families if they own a piece of land. Selection of beneficiaries will be done by an independent panel while DyLume team will be visiting over 1500 villages in next three months to collect the entries from deserving families”, Jain added. Company has roped in renowned singer Zubeen Garg as campaign ambassador which has also sang a song for this campaign. This was stated in a press release.
