Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane assesses security

ITANAGAR: Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane on Monday visited Spear Corps Zone to assess the security situation in the North Eastern States. He was briefed at Likabali in Lower Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh about progress of operations being undertaken by the Corps, a defence communiqué informed. The Army Commander commenced his visit from Likabali during the day and would be in the Spear Corps Zone till November 07. He is accompanied by Spear Corps Commander, Lt Gen Gopal R for the duration of the visit and will be briefed by the operational commanders. He will also interact with heads of other security agencies operating in these States. The Army Commander will also call on State Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra, the communiqué added.
