Economic Census Meeting Held In Kohima

KOHIMA: The Kohima District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) for the 7th Economic Census held its first meeting in the office camber of ADC Kohima on Tuesday.

Chairing the meeting, ADC Kohima Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa said that the conduct of the 7th Economic Census 2019 is important as it will be required in the implementation of any planning process. She assured to extend all possible support from the district administration’s side during the exercise. She requested the supervisor and enumerators to undertake their assigned responsibility with utmost sincerity for the successful conduct of the exercise.

Discussing on the issues of the 7th Economic Census 2019, which is taking place all over the country, the District Economic & Statistics Officer and Member Secretary of DLCC, Khrietsolie Whourie gave a brief speech on the terms of reference to be followed by the DLCC during the exercise. He said that besides the other roles, the DLCC has to monitor preparedness, progress and hurdles in conduct of the 7th EC in the district and to sensitize local law and order agencies, local government functionaries at panchayat/ward level for cooperation in smooth conduct of the exercise, stated a DIPR release.
