Education Minister calls on Governor

GUWAHATI, May 26: Minister of Education (Higher, Secondary and Elementary) Siddhartha Bhattacharya called on Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan on Saturday and apprised him of the programmes that his department is going to take in the coming day. The minister also informed the Governor of the steps that have been taken to implement the Central schemes for the promotion of education in the State. The Governor congratulated the minister on timely announcement of HSLC and HSSLC results which would really help students in the next phase of the studies. The meeting which lasted for an hour discussed on the quality improvement of higher education, a press release said.
