EMFA ridicules Jorhat DC's order

Guwahati,  July 11: The Electronic Media Forum Assam (EMFA) has expressed serious concern over the Jorhat  district magistrate’s  recent order preventing media persons from entering into the DC office  without his prior permission. The forum commented that the Jorhat deputy commissioner Solanki Vishal Vasant  has behaved like a feudal lord disregarding  the spirit of the Indian constitution. The forum has however taken notes that some touts pretending to be scribes are allegedly making nuisance in Jorhat DC office and urged the local jourlists to help the authority to identity those touts and book them under the respective laws. Filly, the EMFA has appealed to the State chief minister Tarun Gogoi, also in charge of home portfolio,  to take necessary  initiatives to withdraw  the order of the Jorhat  district magistrate  against the  media persons on duty at the Earliest.
