Environment Day celebration

SILCHAR, June 4: The Greens, Silchar will observe World Environment Day on June 5. The Greens is a self-help organization that has been conducting various competitions and programmes. On June 5, a drawing competition will be held among student participants. Students from nursery to college level can take part in the competition. The theme of the drawings and paintings should be based on ture and its methods of conservation and protection of the environment. The initiative has been applauded from all sides.

The competition will start at 2 pm, at the premises of Chhotelal Seth Institute, Shillongpatty of this town. To eble students for giving a vent to their expressions, it has also been informed that a poster making or picture drawing competition will take place. Participants from eighth standard to PG level can participate in it. Interested participants have been asked to use watercolour or paint colour with captions on a 24 inch by 18-inch size canvas paper.
