Ering pushes for speedier telecom network

ITAGAR, Feb 17: Lok Sabha MP from Aruchal East constituency, Ninong Ering has stressed on the need for extra efforts to push the telecom network to every nook and corner of the landlocked Himalayan State. Attending the Telecom Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting at BSNL office here on Friday, the MP further emphasized that the provision of mobile service to 1893 villages under the 'Comprehensive Telecom Development Plan for North Eastern Region' needs to be expedited, an official communiqué informed. During the meeting, attended among others by BSNL General Mager Dilip Siram, assistant general mager Arung Siram, TAC members Songtung Lowang Bangsia, Tungri Effa and Taki Mibang, it was informed that BSNL has launched 13 numbers of WiFi hotspots in Itagar and harlagun area. WiFi hotspot has also been launched at Bordumsa, Chowkham, Dimwe, Kharsang and Likabali Army telephone exchanges, the officers informed adding, that the state-owned telecom service provider is going to launch the 4G services shortly in Itagar and harlagun area.
