Eviction drive to continue, all encroachments to be cleared: Das

Goalpara, Jan 31: Ranjit Das, the new State president of Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP), was given a warm welcome in Goalpara town on Tuesday by its district committee. Presided over by Bhriguranjan Rabha, district president, the meeting was attended by the party workers from all over the district.

Later, in his speech, the party president emphasized taking the welfare schemes of the government among the public. “The BJP has always worked for the interest of the public and we will continue doing this,” he said. Ranjit Das also said that it was necessary to uplift the people of all communities for the development of Goalpara district.

Meanwhile, talking to media persons, Das reiterated that eviction drive would continue in the State and encroachment in government land, xatras, temples and mosques would be cleared.
