Ex-Assam MLA Subba arrested

GUWAHATI, Feb 17: Aruchal Pradesh Police arrested former Assam legislator Sanjay Raj Subba in connection with a cheating and fraud case on Thursday. A team of police from Sepa rushed to Subba’s residence in Harmoti in the morning yesterday, lifted him, and arrested later. According to allegations, Subba took Rs 50 lakh from a contractor of Aruchal Pradesh with the promise of awarding him a contract that, however, failed to materialize. The contractor lodged a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest.
