Expenditure Observer seeks proper vouchers from candidates

KOKRAJHAR, March 28: The Expenditure Observer for 31- Sidli (ST) LAC, Joginder Singh convened a meeting on Monday of the contesting candidates, their proposers and agents at the conference hall of the District Centre at Kajalgaon.

While briefing about the importance of maintaining election expenditure records correctly, Singh asked them to maintain records to tally with the actual expenditure maintained by the Expenditure Monitoring Cell in the office. He told them to maintain the records strictly as per the guidelines of the ECI adding that the ECI was pretty strict on the expenditure aspects of the election. He informed that the inspection of Expenditure Register of each candidate would be done by them at least three times. In this connection, the candidates, proposers and agents were asked to produce the register maintained by them on a day-to-day basis since the notification of election along with supporting vouchers to the desigted officers at the office of the Assistant Expenditure Officer at the District Centre in Kajalgaon as per the schedule for BPF and AIUDF on March 29, for Independent candidates Rwngwra rzary and Dilip Kr. Sarania on March 30 and for Independent candidate Phalmarston on March 31.
