Eye screening camp held

TANGLA, Feb 9:  RGVN Micro Fince Ltd. Tangla branch, in collaboration with Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya eye care hospital, Guwahati, had recently hosted a day-long free eye screening camp for the elderly at Meskapukhuri Primary LP school premises in the outskirts of Tangla on Thursday.

This camp endeavored to create mass awareness amongst the elderly about preventive care from eye diseases as well as early detection of cataract disease. Dr. Rammohan along with his team of assistants Tanusree Bora, Surabhi Kalita,Tafikur Rahman and Dipjyoti Medhi  screened nearly  200 patients and two major diseases, myopia and presbyopia, were found common in them.

RGVN Tangla branch representatives Pinku Kalita and Bhajen Rajbongshi also attended the programme.
