Fake student leaders nabbed by Sonari Police

JOYSAGAR: Two self-styled student leaders were arrested by Sonari Police on Saturday evening from the Sonari daily bazar area. Sources informed that the youths identified themselves as the regional leaders of the AASU and allegedly demanded money from three grocery shops and a garment shop. Following the demand, there started a dispute between the youths and the local shopkeepers and finally the police were called.

Sonari Police I/C nabbed the youths from the bazaar area. Meanwhile, the Sonari AASU regional committee has clarified that the accused youths are not their members and they are fraudsters. Police have registered a case in this connection. The accused youths have been identified as Prasanta Gogoi (Charaidew Gaon) and Ashlam Hussain (Borhat Likeli gaon).
