Faridabad Shamer: 20-year-old Gang-Raped by Four Assailants in Faridabad

New Delhi: At a time when the entire government is beating drums about women safety and protection measures against sexual crimes and rape against women and children, another incident of gang-rape shocked Faridabad as it seems to be close on the heels of the Rewari gang-rape.

Police said that a woman in her 20s alleged that four men attacked her and her male friend at an isolated place at the Faridabad stretch. After separating her from her male friend, two of the men dragged her to the nearby bushes and took turns in raping her.

As per police information, the 20-year-old woman works at a factory was with her male friend near the Industrial Model Township at Ballabgarh in Faridabad district.

Reportedly, the victim and her friend on that fateful night had taken the Agra Canal Road as they had to go to the market, where they confronted the four miscreants who were on foot. The four miscreants overpowered the couple and at an isolated location near the place and raped her.

It may be mentioned that Faridabad police constituted a special investigation team headed by ACP Ballabgarh Balbir Singh to arrest the four men. Eight teams have been constituted to crack the case.

Police also said that an eight-member search team has also been formed to search the miscreants.

Meanwhile, a case under section 323, 376D, 506, 34 IPC has been registered at the women’s police station in Ballabhgarh.

Police said the woman was examined by doctors of BK Hospital and her report was awaited. Her statement was registered under Section 164 of CRPC before a magistrate.

It may be mentioned that this horrific incident comes days after a 19-year-old Rewari student was abducted from a bus stop in Mahendragarh district and allegedly drugged and gang-raped.
