Fincial Literacy camp organised

GUWAHATI, April 12: State Bank of India, Regiol Office( Guwahati region IV), organized a Fincial Literacy Camp cum Credit Awareness programme on April 11 at Durga Mandir, Borka(Near Changsari), Kamrup ( Rural District). Sanjay Kumar, Dy Secretary, Deptt. of Fincial Services, Government of India, New Delhi, was present in the camp as Chief Guest. More than 800 people attended the camp from Borka and nearby villages. In his speech, Kumar explained that though almost all family linked with bank by opening bank account under PMJDY, but unnecessary expenditure should be routed through these account, which in turns may help in big expenditure like building of own house, expansion of business etc. also some paves the way to avail loan under various banking schemes. Benefits of PMJDY ( Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojo) were also elaborately spoken out in the camp. Besides Bhaben Das, renowned Social Activist from Borka village, Sanjay Srivastava, Dy General Mager ( Guwahati Module) and other senior officials from State Bank of India were also present in the camp. Some Bank loans including tractors and KCCs were released to the borrowers by the Dy Secretary and other officials present in the function. This was stated in a press release.
