Five fake horns found: Brahma

GUWAHATI, Feb 9: Of the 2,038 rhino horns deposited in various treasuries by the Forest Department, five were found to be origilly fake by the rhino horn verification team constituted by the State Forest Department. Of the 2,033 horns, 13 could not be verified. This was informed by State Forest Minister Pramila Rani Brahma while replying to a question raised by BJP MLA Bhabesh Kalita in the Assembly on Thursday. Brahma said of the 13 unverified horns, 4 horns were sent to the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun for D testing.
