Five hospitalized  due to heat wave in Assam

JORHAT, July 16: At least five persons, four men and a woman, from Mariani, Titabor and Jorhat were admitted in a private hospital and at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital on Monday due to heat wave in Jorhat district.

According to JMCH sources, four persons were ferried from two areas of Jorhat after they became unconscious while working in their fields. A woman from Malow Pathar area fell ill after she was returning from the paddy field and was admitted in a private hospital. While all five are stated to be out of danger, they will need rest, said doctors.
