Five poachers surrender in Baksa district

PATHSALA, Feb 5: On Saturday, five poachers surrendered themselves at Hajuwa Army Camp. The surrendered poachers have been identified as Golar Ramchiary (35), Dijen Basumatary (30), Dinesh Boro (22), Dilip rzary (32) and Saran Boro (29). All the five poachers are from Bhalaguri village in Baksa district under Simla Police Station.

The surrendered poachers have also surrendered three country-made rifles in connection with the Simla PS case no 05/17 U/S 447/34 IPC R/W sec 25(1-A) Arms Act 1959 R/W sec 51 WL (P)  Act 1972.

The five poachers are currently awaiting trial and the authorities claimed that necessary legal action will be taken against them.
