Anti-terrorist Special Operations Continue

Joysagar: The Security Forces are continuing special operations against the militant groups that have allegedly setting up various base camps in and around the border areas of Assam and Nagaland and also in the border of Assam-Arunachal in recent times. The suspected ultra outfits have been conducting various anti-national activities with the hidden help from some reactionary groups.

The Indian Army, The CRPF and the concerning State Police forces have busted many secret base camps of the NSCN and the ULFA (I) in the deep forests of the Nagaland and Arunachal in the current week and also were able to apprehend as many as five more suspected NSCN militants from the Assam-Arunachal border on the night of January 14 with a sizable number of modern arms and ammunition. One self-styled Corporal of NSCN, Rani Sunoth alias Risung (32) and four others were nabbed on January 14 night from Khatalbasti of the Faneng of the Arunachal border. Sources informed that one AK-47 riffle, two 303 riffle, 60 rounds live bullets, one Pistol, 2 walky-talky sets, 8 I-phones and several meters of electric wires along with documents of the banned outfit organizations were recovered from their possession.
