Flying Squad confiscates Rs 25.11 lakh at Noonmati Sector 1

GUWAHATI: Flying Squad members stationed around the state for Lok Sabha poll has managed to seize a large amount of questionable notes during the past few days. On Wednesday, one Amrit Chandra Deka was detained with possession of Rs 25.11 lakh at Noonmati Sector 1. Deka has been handed over to Income Tax department for further investigation. On the other hand, Rs 3 lakh was also seized from one Ravi Mahatu at Athgaon but was later released upon clarification that the money was to shop for a wedding.
