Former CBI Joint Director V.V. Lakshminarayana joins Jana Sena

Amaravati: Ending all speculations, former CBI Joint Director V.V. Lakshminarayana, who quit the police job last year to enter public life, finally joined actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena on Sunday to make his political debut. The former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer formally joined Jana Sena with Kalyan welcoming him into the paty.

Lakshminarayana said he was ready to contest the elections from any constituency. Jana Sena is likely to announce his candidature either for Lok Sabha or Assembly elections later in the day. Earlier, there were speculations that Lakshminarayana may join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). As Joint Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Lakshminarayana headed investigations into several high-profile cases, including disproportionate assets case involving YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and Satyam Computer scam. (IANS)
