Former Principal of DHSK Commerce College passes away

DIBRUGARH, September 8:  Former Principal of the Dibrugarh Hanuman Bux Surajmal Kanoi Commerce College, eminent educationist, Prof. Safauddin Ahmed passed away on Tuesday in his residence at Gavarupathar due to prolong old-age ailment. He was 86. Prof Ahmed is survived by three daughters, three sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, besides his wife and a host of family members and admirers. He joined as a Commerce professor at the DHSK Commerce College and later after a dedicated and devoted service, Ahmed retired as Principal. A vociferous lover of books, Prof. Ahmed was very popular among his students and colleagues for his amiable ture and strict administration. He was recipient of Pioneer Professor Award at a meeting held in Guwahati in 2010.
