Foundation stone of IPDS laid

HOWRAGHAT, April 12: The foundation stone of the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) was officially laid here recently at Howraghat. The foundation stone was laid by Joyram Engleng, MLA, Howraghat constituency in presence of Khonsing Rongpi, EM for Health and Family Welfare Department, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and other officials.

On the occasion, a small function was also organized. While addressing the foundation stone laying ceremonial function, MLA Engleng expressed unhappiness over the work of M/s NK Power and Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd for giving false work progress report. Meanwhile, he urged the public to cooperate and to keep vigil in any infrastructural and construction work. Taking part in the foundation-laying ceremonial function, Khonsing Rongpi, EM, KAAC, said that the promises that were made during the last elections were fulfilled by the rendra Modi-led BJP government in the every State as well as in Karbi Anglong hill district after the party came to power.
