Four cattle smugglers bbed

GUWAHATI, Feb 23: Border Security Force (BSF) troops of Guwahati Frontier, today, apprehended four cattle smugglers from the riverine area of Hathichar in Dhubri district, while they were engaged in smuggling activities.  These smugglers were apprehended from the riverine border by troops of BOP Hathichar, while they were illegally trying to cross the Intertiol Boundary, BSF official said.  During prelimiry questioning they confessed to their involvement in the illegal crime and revealed that they were basically couriers while the actual owner of the cattle was Shaidur Shaikh of Borokajir village under Sukhchar police station in South Salmara district.  The apprehended cattle smugglers have been identified as Munur Jamal of Borokajir village under Sukhar police station in South Salmara district, Samsul Haque of Bowali Char in Mankachar, Rafiqual Rahaman and Saidur Rahman of Borokajir Gaon in Mankachar, South Salmara. Two mobiles with Indian SIM cards and Rs 120 were also recovered from them. The apprehended persons along with the seized items have been handed over to concerned agencies for further disposal.
