Four child labours rescued by District Task Force Committee from Jalukbari in Guwahati

Guwahati: At least four child labours have been rescued today from Jalukbari area in Guwahati by the District Task Force Committee on child labour under Kamrup Metro District.

The Labour Department officials, police, representatives of Bachpan Bachao Andolan identified and rescued three child labours from two restaurants and one from a slaughterhouse in Jalukbari area.

FIR has been launched against the defaulting employers by the Labour Inspectors Brajen Barua, Nizara Hazarika and Nandini Phukan of the office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner.

Further investigations are on.
