Four students of Tezpur bring laurels in HS exam

Tezpur, June 2: Four students from two different colleges located in the heart of Tezpur town brought glory to their colleges as well as to their town by securing ranks from the three streams Science, Commerce and Arts in the HS fil examition (2016), result of which was announced on Thursday by AHSEC.
Kangka Kalita from Science stream of Tezpur Science Academy secured 9th position with 95 pc. Arundhuti Patangia and Mrigakshi Das of Darrang College secured respectively the 4th and 8th position with 95 pc and 94.2 pc in the Arts stream. On the other hand, Rinisha Sen from the same college secured 8th position in Commerce stream with 91.8 pc.
Kangka Kalita, daughter of rayan Kalita and Hemosri Borah, and a resident of Mission Chariali Deurigaon, who secured the 9th position, said that she would study in Tezpur University taking up the subject Integrated M.Sc in Chemistry. “My aim is to be a chemical engineer.” She said she was grateful to the teachers of the college, who besides other students, always took care of her.
Arundhuti Patangia, daughter of Suren Patangia and Kabita Patangia of Bam-Parbatia area, said that she would study in Darrang College taking up Geography as Major subject and she would like to become a lecturer.
On the other hand, Mrigakhi Das, daughter of Pabitra Kumar Das and Ranu Das of Baruah Chuburi, Dekargaon, said that she would study in Cotton College taking Economics as Major subject and she wanted to go for the civil services.
Rinisha Sen, daughter of Pradip Sen and Sampa Sen of LDS Road (Garwanpatty), said that she would continue her studies in Darrang College and her aim was to be a Chartered Accountant.
