Free Coaching For Aspirants Of Competitive Exams By Hailakandi District Administration

Hailakandi: The Hailakandi district administration is launching an ambitious programme, Udyom, a classroom cum study centre, for helping students in preparations of entrance/competitive examinations and also make them employable in openings in government and allied institutions. A brainchild of Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli, the initiative is aimed at mitigating the circumstances of students who cannot afford expensive coaching.

“Through Udyom, we would like to introduce a serious study culture and encourage poor students who cannot afford expensive coaching,” said Assistant Commissioner, Parikshit Phukan, who is closely connected with the initiative.

Udyom would be a platform for aspirants to interact with administrators, successful entrepreneurs, doctors and academicians. Resource persons and guest faculty will be roped in to mentor and aid the students.

A non-residential coaching programme, classrooms equipped with audio-visual facilities and Wifi, set in a perfect academic ambience, will be provided entirely free. As it is not a scholarship programme, students have to make their own travel arrangements. Applicants have to appear in a selection test for admission to the training programme of a batch of 30.

Intending candidates can download the prescribed application form from the website: http://hailakandi.gov.in. Duly filled in application forms will be received till 5 pm of July 5 only at the eDistrict PFC Centre, Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
