Gaon burah passes away

DEMOW, May 3: Meghanath Khamti (72), a resident of Borguri Mising Gaon near Demow and a government gaon burah under Demow Circle Office, died at his residence on Tuesday. He was suffering from old-age ailments since a long time. Meghanath Khamti was working as a secretary of the Gaon Burah Association of Sivasagar district. Meghanath Khamti leaves behind his wife, five sons and daughters and a host of relatives.
