Gauhati Town Club win Head Quarter Zone title

GUWAHATI: Gauhati Town Club won the Head Quarter Zone title of the Assam Premier Club Championship today as they beat Goalpara Cricket Academy by better run rate at Judges’ Field. After losing the toss GTC scored 220 runs in allotted 40 overs losing 8 wickets. Bikash Chetry hit 56 off 57 balls while Erik Roy and Amit Boro contributed 37 and 32 respectively.

Dhrubajyoti Das claimed 3 wickets for 39. In reply Goalpara CA were 95 for 6 in 21 overs when bad light stopped play. Later, GTC were adjudged as the winner with better run rate. Abdul Aziz remained unbeaten at 44. Dharani Rabha took 3 wickets for 18. Bikash was named the best player of the final.
