Geetanagar Police Arrested Youth For Sexual Assault

GUWAHATI: Geetanagar Police arrested one Uddipta Gogoi (28), a sound engineer, on Saturday night from Karbi Path on the charge of sexual assault to a girl with the promise of marrying her. According to the police, Uddipta had an affair with a 22-year-old girl. They, according to the police, had physical relationship. However, the girl lodged an FIR in Geetanagar police station (case No. 119/19) when Uddipta refused to marry her. Uddipta hails from Serekapar in Sivasagar district.
