Giriwar Dayal Singh appointed as General Observer for Dibrugarh LS constituency

Dibrugarh: For conducting free and fair parliamentary election on April 11 in Dibrugarh district, the Election Commission of India has appointed Giriwar Dayal Singh, Additional Secretary-cum-Director, Secondary Education, Bihar, as general observer for 13- Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency.

For any grievances or complaints pertaining to election, the public can contact him on his mobile number 60026-45502 or on the following email id observercell13hpc@gmail.com. He will be available from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm at Dibrugarh Circuit House, except Saturdays and Sundays, for the public who might be interested to meet him personally.

After arriving here, the General Observer held a meeting with the officials engaged in the parliamentary elections at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office and discussed various election-related issues. Extensive discussions on various aspects of the preparations for the elections, including district election and booth-level management plans, transportation plan for manpower and material, complaints redressal mechanism, training of polling staff among others were discussed during the meeting.

Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Pallav Gopal Jha; Superintendent of Police S. Sankaran, Additional Deputy Commissioners Susanta Kumar Dutta, Partha Bairagi , Sanjoy Dutta, Manoj Baruah and Ranjit Konwar and others attended the meeting.
