GMC election: Draft roll to be published on May 5

GUWAHATI, April 25: In the wake of the election of Gauhati Municipal Corporation (GMC) an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of State Election Commissioner HN Bora at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Kamrup Metro on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal asked registration officials to do their entrusted works sincerely. The draft electoral roll for this election will be published on May 5. The last date for receiving claims and objections is May 14, last date for disposal of claims and objections is May 22 and final electoral roll will be published on May 31, a press release said.
