Golaghat trader's demise mourned

Golaghat, February 10: People of Golaghat and various organizations on Tuesday paid tribute to Madanlal Khaitan who passed away on Monday. People thronged the residence of Madan Khaitan. Maheswari Sabha, NETA, ATPA, Brahman Samaj ,Agarwal Sabha and Yuva Sabha, Jalan Sewa Sadan, AJYCP, AGP, Lengree Tea Estate officials, Hindi Vidyalay Golaghat Sakha Sahity Sabha, BJP, Lions Club, Tax Bar Association and Muslim Kalyan Parishad paid floral tribute to the departed soul. Golaghat United Chambers of Commerce and Municipality Golaghat arranged a tribute ceremony in the town where many people took part. Dip Kalita of United Chambers of Commerce said, “He was like a guardian to the organization. His death has been a huge loss.” Shops and business establishments in the town remained closed from 1 pm to 4 pm as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
