Golden jubilee celebration

TINSUKIA, May 1: The All Moran Students’ Union (AMSU) will celebrate golden jubilee and 50th anniversary of foundation day with a five -day long elaborate events in 16 locations across Tinsukia district from Wednesday. Detailing the programme in a press meet, Arun Jyoti Moran, president of AMSU, said the inaugural programme would be held at Janmukh Playground, Tinsukia, while the other venues are Sahid Piyali Phukan Playground (Vir Raghav Moran Trophy for volleyball), Vir Raghav Moran TDA Indoor Stadium (Badminton), District Library Auditorium (workshop and meet), Golap Chandra Rabi Chandra Natya Mandir (one act play competition), Manav Kalyan Puja Bhavan (workshop), Bir Raghav Moran Playground, Gelapukhuri Bypass (poetry recitation), Janmukh Namghar (community blessings), AMSU central office (smriti tarpan) and Marut Nandan Kanan (cultural procession).
Meanwhile, a cycle race competition was held on Tuesday among boys and girls in Tinsukia –Makum Bypass which was inaugurated by Saurav Jyoti Saikia, Additional SP, that was followed by under-13 football match and art competition at the same venue.
