Golden Jubilee celebration of Durga Puja at Bhanu Chowk

UDALGURI: The golden jubilee year of Durga Puja at Bhanu Chowk, Rowta was celebrated with pomp and gaiety. A souvenir entitled Dasain-Tihar was published to mark the celebration. The souvenir was edited by Dr. Khagen Sarma and released by senior litterateur Tarapati Upadhyaya amidst a function.

The open session was presided over by Prasad Sarma and inaugurated by Khadananda Oli. Noted litterateur Jaganidhi Dahal has apprised the brief history of Bhanu chowk Durga Puja. The principal of Udalguri HS School Puspadhar Sarma has delivered his speech as appointed speaker. He urged the people to remain united to develop the region in all sphere. Kulen Bora has also delivered the speech on the occasion. Hari Oli has extended vote of thanks to the people who assisted to make the jubilee a successful one. Rewati Raman Sapkota, Dr. Khagen Sarma among others also attended the session.
