Government e-Market implementation decision by Cabinet

KOHIMA: In pursuance with the Cabinet decision towards the implementation of Government e-Market (GeM), all purchases by the State Government departments and public sector undertakings exceeding Rs 50,000 should be compulsorily made through the GeM portal. An Office Memorandum issued by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy said all government vehicles shall also be purchased from GeM unless it is certified that a particular model of vehicle is not available on GeM, stated a DIPR release.
