Government grants two crore for DEMHSS

Itagar, Jan 19: The Aruchal Pradesh government has sanctioned an amount of two crore for restructuring fire-ravaged Daying Ering Higher Secondary School at Pasighat in East Siang district.

This was informed by Pasighat Municipal Council chief councillor Denong Tamuk while chairing a coordition meeting at Pasighat on Monday, an official communiqué informed here today.

The meeting was attended by advisor to CM Bosiram Siram, ZPC Kaling Dai, DDSE Obuk Panor, Dy chief councillor Kaling Darang, councillors, and teaching staffs.

Concerned over the fire mishap that devoured seven rooms of the school in the wee hours on Sunday, chief minister bam Tuki directed the East Siang district administration to assess the losses incurred and submit a detail report for releasing sufficient relief fund.

Taking strong note of repeated fire mishaps, the CM also appealed to the masses to take precautiory measures and be alert at all times.

The CM also directed all the DCs to create mass awareness on preventive measures against such mishaps. PMC chief councillor also assured to provide 20 chairs and a computer as immediate relief.

Advisor to chief minister Bosiram Siram sought magisterial inquiry on the incident and also urged the engineering departments to restore water and power supply immediately in the school to bring normalcy.

Ward-5 councilor Kaling Doruk also doted ten thousand rupees and urged the administration and municipality to clear all debris to have a fresh feeling in minds of the teachers and students, the communiqué added.
