Government’s performance report presented

TINSUKIA, June 26: Tinsukia BJP MLA Sanjay Kishan presented a report of two years’ performance of the State government with special emphasis on the Tinsukia constituency at a press meet in Tinsukia on Tuesday. Initiated by Terash Gowalla, MLA of Duliajan, and BJP State observer for Tinsukia district, the press meet was attended by Suren Phukan, MLA of Digboi, Lokeshwar Moran district president and Jugabala Buragohain, secretary of State BJP committee, besides other district leaders.

Terash Gowalla briefly outlined the government’s achievement after completion of two years and four years in the State and Centre respectively. While briefing the media, Sanjay Kishan said though development process had been hampered due to involvement of officials in NRC update exercises, he expressed full satisfaction over the completion of both centrally and locally sponsored schemes during the past two years. Kishan categorically stated that he personally monitored the works. Hoping to fulfil the target in next three years, the MLA said that about 40 per cent of the target had been accomplished.

Presenting an elaborative statement, he said out of all projects PMUY and Kishan Credit Card almost achieved the desired target. He also faced a volley of questions from media persons. When asked about the progress of annual LAD MLA Fund, Kishan said that the grant had been sanctioned and released after proper scrutiny and the progress was satisfactory.
