Governor approves committee constituted for tiol Games 22

SHILLONG, April 3: The Meghalaya Covernor, Ganga Prasad has approved the constitution of a committee to overlook the preparation for the tiol Games which will be held in the state in the year 2022.

In the committee there will be 36 members which will include Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as Chairperson, Minister of Sports Banteidor Lyngdoh as the Deputy Chairperson, 10 Ministers as Vice Chairperson of the committee and would include the president, secretary and treasurer of the India Olympics Association and working president of Meghalaya State Olympic Association as Vice Chairperson.

On March 29, last month members of the committee were appointed which includes the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, Director General of Police, four Additiol Chief Secretaries and four vice presidents of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association, Chief Executive Officer for NG- 2022, two Additiol Chief Executive Officers for NG- 2022, three Joint Chief Executive Officers for NG- 2022, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Chief Engineer of  State Sports Council , general secretary and treasurer of MSOA .

This Organizing Committee will be the governing body of the tiol Games 2022, Meghalaya whereby the committee will be responsible for making decisions concerning the tiol Games 2022.

The Organizing Committee will also constitute an Executive Committee, Fince Committee, Infrastructure Committee beside other committees if need be for the smooth functioning and the success of the tiol Games.
