Governor inducted as patron of Scout and Guides

SHILLONG, June 12: The Governor of Meghalaya, V. Shanmugathan was inducted as Patron of the Meghalaya Bharat Scout and Guides. At a function conducted on June 10 at Raj Bhavan by the State Secretary of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, the Governor was made a scout. The scarf was given by GG Pariat, President, Meghalaya Bharat Scout and Guide Fellowship while the Special Scout/Guide neck tie was presented by MPR Lyngdoh, State Commissioner, Guide, and the membership badge was pinned on the left side by W. Lyngdoh, State Commissioner and Scout. The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides urged upon the Patron to extend his support towards building the character of the youth in the State. The Governor expressed joy and happiness to be associated with the Movement and assure all possible support to the Movement.
