Governor interacts with NDC officers

GUWAHATI, Feb 3:  Governor Banwarilal Purohit spent some time with the officers from armed forces, civil and police services, interacted with them and apprised them of Assam and its socio-cultural, political and economic idiosyncrasies at Raj Bhavan today.   A delegation from tiol Defence College comprising 15 officers called on Governor Purohit at Raj Bhavan and talked to him on several issues.  The Governor informed them of the State Government’s mission and vision of bringing about an overall change for all round development of the State.  He drew the attention of the officers of Assam’s rich and abundant tural resources, human resources and its diverse heritage in the fields of culture and ethnicities. The Governor appreciated the rigorous training and discipline of the officers and asked them to dedicate themselves to propel the development of the State. The Officers on the other hand expressed their gratitude to the Governor for all the facilities given to them during their stay in the State.  The officers from the 57th course comprised officers from the Indian Armed Forces as well as from Civil Services, Indian Police Services and officers from friendly foreign countries. The group toured Assam for five days visited nook and corner and familiarised themselves with the socio-political aspects of the State. The Group led by Major General P. Dere, Senior Directing Staff was exposed to various facets of state administration from the grass root to the Apex level.
