Greater Nagalim demand by NSCN (IM) is a very serious threat to Arunachal Pradesh: AAPBSU

ITANAGAR: Expressing grave concern over the demand for ‘Greater Nagalim’ by the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah), the All Arunachal Pradesh Border Students’ Union (AAPBSU) has termed the demand as greater threat than China’s claim over the state’s territory and sought Governor’s intervention into the burning issue before it is too late.

In a representation to the Governor on Monday, the Union stated that the Greater Nagalim demand by NSCN (IM) is a very serious threat to the state’s sovereignty, unity and interiority and that the Govt should initiate immediate steps to check such divisive forces. “If the extremist group is not checked in time this peaceful state would come under the grip of anti-India elements which will further enhance the gravity of Chinese influence in the region,” the Union stated, adding that Arunachal Pradesh is strategically very important and significant for entire country.
