Gunmen fire on lawyer's residence

TANGLA, May 12: In yet another incident of attack on lawyers, unidentified miscreants fired rounds of gun shots at the residence of lawyer Rajiv Khaglary located at Maibanguri of Udalguri district. The incident occurred on Thursday at about 2 am.
The miscreants reportedly came in motorbike and fired rounds of gun shots with an AK-47 rifle. The miscreants immediately fled the spot after the incident. Police went to the scene and found seven empty cartridges of AK 47 rifle. No person has been reported to be hurt in the incident. Police investigation is on. The lawyer who practices at Udalguri district court could not be reached over phone for further input.
