Guwahati City residents scared of imported fish

GUWAHATI, July 29: Although the imports of fish have been resumed in various markets of Guwahati, the local residents are yet to buy it like earlier. Notably, following the detection of Formalin with the imported fish in Guwahati, the State government banned it from selling for ten days.

Hence, the local breeds supplemented the demand of the market. However, even after the lifting of ban with reasonable restrictions on imported fish, the residents are so alarmed that they are yet to buy a kg of imported fish. The ban might have imparted a lesson on the city residents.
