Guwahati Grenade Blast Victims Still Under Treatment At GMCH

GUWAHATI: The grenade blast on Wednesday evening grievously injured one Fardeen Hussain Rahman, 21, who is presently admitted at GMCH is in a critical condition and undergoing treatment. As per the doctors, he has a Haemoperitonium (blood in the abdomen) injury and has already undergone surgery. Besides Fardeen, ASI Ramesh Lal, 45, has a soft tissue injury in the chest, Constable Amulya Ratan, 30, has a left leg injury, Sultan Jahidur Rahman, 52, has a superficial injury and Bijoy Kumar Saw, 22, has a right bicep injury. They are all admitted in GMCH.

Hirok Jyoti Baruah, 26, Lala Kumar Yadav, 16, Edward Hmar, 18, and Kalyan Bashya, 28, are all admitted in KGMT and are declared out of danger. A father and daughter due were also injured during the bombing and Puja Kanchal, 15, is admitted in Nemcare Hospital, while father Amit Kumar Kanchal is undergoing Aphthalmic injury treatment at Shankardev Netralaya.

Following the bombing, 11 people in Zoo Road, East Guwahati Police called an emergency meeting with various stakeholders of the society and discussed security measures to be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
