Hailakandi: Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi Keerthi Jalli congratulated the boys and girls from Hailakandi who did the district proud in the HSLC exams this year.

DC Jalli personally met Manjima Khanum Barbhuiyan who obtained the highest marks in Persian subject in HSLC exams from MABM Swadeshi School and Abul Kalam Barbhuiya who secured highest marks in the State in Bengali subject from Hailakandi Town High Madrassa. The Deputy Commissioner felicitated both of them as well as Rejwana Firdaus Laskar, the second topper with distinction and Abu Hassan Laskar who scored the highest marks in Maths in the district.

While congratulating and wishing them a rosier future, DC, Jalli urged the students who did not perform up to their expectations not to lose hope. “As we congratulate the achievers, we would also like to reiterate to all the students who didn’t score as much as their hearts desire, please do not lose hope and do not let these marks be a judge of how far you will go in life,” she said.

Citing the instance of renowned scientist Albert Einstein, Jalli said the man who revolutionised the entire world of Physics with his Theory of Relativity was very bad at formal studies and was even asked by his teachers to drop out of school. Jalli asked the students to ‘keep dreaming and keep achieving’ as they pursue with their studies.
