Hailstorm in Dhakuakhana affecting residential houses and paddy granaries

LAKHIMPUR: Strong lashes of hailstorm ravaged the residential houses of more than fifty families at Pehiyoti under Dhakuakhana subdivision of Lakhimpur, Dhemaji districts on Tuesday. In addition, paddy granaries, cowsheds, namghars and such other infrastructures were severely affected in the storm which broke a good deal of valuable trees too. It is reported that several persons of the affected area sustained injuries during the storm though no casualty was reported till filing of the report.
